I am now offering my paper for sale in two limited ways.
FIRST, SAMPLE SHEETS. I have begun making sheets of paper with every batch that are poured to 10.5 x 8.25″ size, using a split deckle. These are kept as a library of paper made with different fibers, with different texture additives, and with different colors. I often end up with 5 to 10 sheets extra from each batch and there is a lot of variety. If you want to purchase samples, they are $2 each plus $10 for shipping, with a minimum of 10 sheets. You don’t get a choice of sheets but if I know your interest or purpose, and I will try to pick a suitable variety from my current inventory. These might be useful to you for a project, or they might serve as a springboard for dialog about a custom order. SECOND, CUSTOM ORDERS. I am willing to make custom orders of paper for people. A base order would be 16 to 20 sheets of paper poured to 10.5 x 16.5″ size, made from ‘normal’ fibers, about 0.5 pounds total dry weight. Texture and color can be adjusted to your interests and delivery time could be as long as 4 weeks. Options are possible, such as experimenting with a new fiber, using sectional deckles to yield more, smaller sheets, or varying color, thickness, or texture for each sheet in a run. The sheet yield and batch price would be adjusted accordingly. Contact me if you want to discuss.
WHY BUY FROM ME? I have a low price structure, small batch size, and ability to vary each sheet in a batch. I am willing to run experiments and work with new or difficult fibers. You would be helping me become a better papermaker.
WHY NOT TO BUY FROM ME? If you need more paper or larger sheets than I can currently make, if you need professional quality and consistency, or if you have a deadline. I’m not trying to compete with other paper makers, but am trying to unlock a new group of smaller customers.
